No changes for me!

This week was really amazing! We hade 4 days of members that came out teaching with us! And I cant even tell you the difference it makes! Members are key in the work of the lord! Having those strong testimonies with us all week was incredible! Also Daladier! Our recent Convert even went out with us. hes kinda shy but man he did SO good teaching! And It was so good to see him serve others and the happiness that he had to go out talking about the scriptures was just incredible! And he left that that day saying 2 years of this... I think I can do it! SO WE need to all pray for him to have the support and faith to serve a mission! He wil do great! Im so proud of hiM! And Luis, our other convert had an interview with the stake prez this week and they made a 1 1/2 year plan so that he can make it out on a mission too! And before he was like no. I aint going. I cant give up my phone for 2 years. No I cant do it! But Now hes excited to go! and the good news is If he goes he will cange the life of his family. The suffer alot and he can be the saving grace if he can grow in the gospel. He will change generations. So a good week of miracles! Ive really learned the Missioanry work is a lie. cause it should be called member work. Because we are only here to help. THe work is in your hands! Missionaries can only do so much but if we really want to help bring salvation to the world we need to grow up! We need to live the Gospel fully! And stop being scared to open our mouths about this beautiful treasure we have! Its for all. We cant judge who will be ready to recive it! We must only be the channel by which the holy ghost can touch the hearts of others. But we can only do this if we are living correctly.

also heres a giant wood aligator. It made me smile.

Scripture of the week!

13 Wherefore, call upon the weak things of the world,those who are unlearned and despised, to thresh thenations by the power of my Spirit;
14 And their arm shall be my arm, and will be theirshield and their buckler; and will gird up their loins, andthey shall fight manfully for me; and their enemies shall beunder their feet; and will let fall the sword in their behalf,and by the fire of mine indignation will preserve them
We can be his Arm. He will preserve us. We may be weak but we are not alone! I hope everyone has a great week!

Well another fun thing this week is it starts the National Party of Costarica! Sept 15 is there Independence day... but they start early! WE had a nice suprise when we went to our english classes! There was a parade outside! And so we had a nice break to watch it! These clown things came up and touched me too... it was crazy... and those carts are like the most typical thing in Costarica! There so beautifuL!

Well we had a Baptism! This is Erick! He was the best Investigator weve had! Hehas such a strong testimony and he was so ready for this day! It was like 3 weeks coming becuase he has a blood problem and was in and out of the hospital! SATAN! didnt want him to get baptised! But finally it all came together and he was so happy! We also had the most support at a baptism we have ever had! So slowly we are gaining the support of the members! Milagros! ARE HAPPENING here in Perez! We had a country wide fast for the work of salvation in this country! And I think its working! This week has been incredible! And Prez always says that we need the help of angles! Well... I think were getting it!

We said good bye to Elder Palencia this week! Who is actually going to be in the same area as Hermana Soe!! so thats exciting! And all he wanted to do his last day... steal the flag in the church and take pictures! So we did! haha it was fun! Also we went outside after saccrament meeting and sang for the flag... but like i felt weird... cause I didnt know it... and im from texas haha it was funny! and really long! But felt good!! Also they dont have the thing here where if the flag touches the ground you have to burn it.. so they like dragged it all aroung... It hurt my heart to watch.

but it was a good weekend saying good bye to Elder Palencia. My brother from El Salvador. he was very good to Me. Watched over us like a dad. Gonna miss him!

More pictures from the week! We had another birthday party! And it turned out really good!  Cake and a Piñata! It rained of course so we had to get creative! But hey that the mission life!

An even faster week!

First Ill start with Pday! There was a little misscomunication with the zone activity and after lots of contention we ended up going to a Valcano!! And I was pumped! Im usually golden with anything. You only serve once ya know. So we get to this Valcano and its like covered in a cloud. And it starts to get cold. but not just cold it starts to rain or snow or who knows what but it was the most miserable moment of my life haha. But it ended up being funny because we Bonded as a zone running around in this crazy cold mist at the top of a valcano! It was crazy. But this crazy mist was how I imagine it was in the Vision of Lehi. And the Elders just start running off in this mist and you cant even see 200 feet in front of you. It was crazy. Honestly thought someone was gonna die haha we couldnt even find our comps half the time haha! oh my gosh what a morning.

Then we went to like some old Hospital that they sent all of the sick people of central america here to like get cured but like these were the people that like werent curable so they were like torchured and tried for cure and there was a isilem and ahh I cant even tell you how creepy I felt in parts. Ewwww but after I got over my fear it got kinda fun. we tried to take like super creepy pictures. ANd it was a crazy large property.  So it got fun. Also the Elders scared me so bad. So I guess its my fault for being scared haha but in the end I had fun and it was light out side so all was good. but the worker said that like weird things come out at night and that he refuses to be here. So thats terrifing. but it did take some cool pics this like super old hospital thing.

After that we headed for Lunch and then for the bus to Perez but like we decided to stop by this mall first. and OH MY GOSH. its like a 3 storie giant circle! The WHOLE MALL IS HUGEEEEE. It was supper over whelming. but like its the small things in life. It was like the colosseum. thats how big this thing was!! And I have no regrets. There was a Pen wall in one store and there is no shame. All a missionary wants is pens and stuff. it was heaven. Then I bought a Cinabon. cause like that doesnt exsist here. It was the small little joy of my day. Seriously so happy.

Then we went  to perez and the first bus that passes stopped and it was all a giant miracle. Seriously a great Pday. I had a row of seats to my self. And wow I cant even explain how fun it was. And I got to see all my friends. Good P day.

Was it even a week?

This week went so fast. I cant even tell you. And in like 1 week im 1 months away from one year in the mission. Woah. Time needs to just slow down. This week on monday there was a death in a family. So we spent All day monday with them and Gramps.( The rules of burrial are weird here so like he had to sit in a coffin in their house till he was to be burried and like their traditions mean that someone always has to be awake and the body just sits in there living room.) It was interesting and i didnt really enjoy it. But we went around serving and helping those who mourned.

Tuesday we woke up early to get on the buss for the Funeral. It was sad. Lots of tears. We ended up doing lots as the only ward members there. So we sang and directed and prayed. But it was a good service and then we watched as he was layed to rest. (side note: one of the guys like so much how the funeral was directed that he is now gonna take our lessions because he wants his funeral service to be like that. crazy right) After that our Super Awesome Investagator Erick, who like dropped off the planet last week called us back. All is well and his baptism should be the 1st or second week of sept! yay MIRACLES are real! also to finish the night we went to pick up our clothes from a members house and like she wasnt there.... but her daughter was painting. so we spent the whole hour or 2 painting and waiting. WHAT A STRESS reliever! Good night!

Wednesday
We did absolutly NOTHING! We got all ready to leave the house and President called! They are in Perez Zeledon and we have interviews and then they took us out to eat! It was so fun and just what I needed! I was so Happy to see him! He is doing well with his health and he is so proud of us down here! And his daughter was there! LIZZY! and she is like the best friend I never had! WE got to talk and talk and talk and then we went to my Favorite little cafe and enjoyed the BEST meal ive had in CR and then Prez drove us back to San Jose in his car so we didnt have to take the aweful bus! It was such a good day!

Thrusday
We had to go to immigration for my Comp and we were there FOR EVER! but I got to see Elder Gibby and Elder Winders from the MTC and we just got to Talk and Talk and TalK! (when your so far from everyone like me its days like these that keep you going in the mission) Anyways that was fun with lots of time to kill I colored and caught up on my journal. It was a real good time. Then we went to San Jose to take the Bus back. Got there at 4 they sold us a ticket for 5:30 and there was a problem on the road. so we were stuck in a full buss at night in a little road in the mountains for 2 HOURS without moving. and well I guess I got some weird virtigo or somthing. All I know is I was SO FLIPPING SICK and I was in a bus full of people trapped in the mountains. WOrse experience of my mission.

Friday
Ate the best Pupusas in my life. But still felt like crap from the trip.

Saturday
Rained For days. Ive never been more wet. Also we had a great lesson with Seidy are new family. Stay tuned for more on them. They are awesome! and So prepared! We finally had a great lesson with her kids which was nice. and to finish we went to pray and her drunk lesbian neighbor showed up and started praying and yelling. it was interesting. but like I prayer Gringa and said I didnt understand... and my comp told me after that ¨she didnt even understand here spanish. haha it was funny.

Sunday
We got to go check up on our convert Daladier and he is doing so good! He was all excited because he is a priest and got the priestood and hes preping for a mission! and ahh I cant even tell you how amazing it is to see someone progress and really gain that happiness that comes from living the gospel! Ahh Great day and I just fell blessed to watch him learn so fast!

So theres my week haha Pretty average. It went way fast thats for sure!
heres what I was thinking alot about this week. I think ive shared it before but its so good. Romanos 8

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Basically I hope everyone can really focus and understand the love that God has for us. And that we should make decisions for ourselves remmebering this love and the value that we have as sons and daughters of a king. I love you all and I hope you have a great week sharing this love with others!

Just an Average Week

Well its been a good week and a hard one. I dont know what it is but we are just always SOOO Busy. Lots of work down here. Oh we had a nice Mircle this week as well. So were riding on a bus when this lady starts taking to another lady behind Hermana Mendoza. She starts going like hey you should come to church with me. And the other one is like no. I am searching for the true church. Ive been and studdied with almost all of them. This one I dont like. and This one is crazy. I dont like how the scream in this one. THis one breaks rules about praying. I like the JWs but theres something that I just cant find. I just want to find the true church. Ive been everywere except the mormons. Maybe ill go there next. And well with a conversation like that my companion HAD to say something. She turns around. gets her number and they get of the bus. THat night we call and put an appt. for the next day. We showed up and had an amazing lession. We taught all of L1 and she understood it like she was born in the Church. She has been searching for the fullness of the gospel for so long that I could just see that she Regconized it as soon as we started te lesson. She came to our English classes with the whole family and we gave more of a tour of the chapel. She loved it and so did her kids. She said she felt good and wanted to come Sunday as well. Bad news is SATAN kept her from coming on Sunday. But no worries because she is so smart and prepared for the Gospel that Im not worried. If she reads meditates and Prays. There will be no way she doesnt get an anwser because she is so ready. I love finding little gift from God like her and her family. Because I know that God used us to anwser her prayers and that She will have the guidences that she is looking for for her children. And I cant wait to testify of the Power of Eternal Famlies. Something that is so important that most people dont understand because they are missing part of the truth that has been restored! What a great blessing to be apart of her search for truth. And this is only the first week. I will keep you posted as we teach her!

Part 2 of this week was to watch the tender mercies of the Lord work on a member who has fallen into one of satans hardest temptations. Im not gonna go into detail much but this week we had a lession with one of my favorite people here in Perez. She is amazing and has helped me so much to adjust here. Her love is just unexplainable. But she has had a tough go as member of the church and has been through lots of hard times. But all my time here we have preped her to go through the temple and I got to see that blessing that she recived. It was amazing. But little by little Satan has been working on her. As he does with all of us as we choose the right. The good path is never the easy path. But it is the path of happiness and blessings. But as We showed up at this dear womens house she was very discouraged. We talked about goals and what we want out of life and where we want to be in 5 10 20 years and what we want in the eternity. She struggled through the lession expressing how confused she is in this moment and how she doesnt know. We waited and talked as the spirit slowly testified to her of these things. We talked about things we have to GIVE UP in order to reach these goals. And then as we finished the lession she broke down and told us all. She told us about all she had been through and done and how she was just gonna take a break from going to church because she doesnt feel worthy to enter the building or do anything. We eplained so much about the atonement and the love God has for us that we cant earn. Its free. God does not love an obedient child more then a rebelous one. He loves us all the same. becuase we cant earn this love for good chooses. it it given to us for who we are. SOns and Daughters of heres. And through a hard long talk I finally told her that We should never stop doing good things because I did one thing bad. THats what satan wants. If I fall here and make a mistake but Im strong in another part of the gospel. God wants us to hold on to what we are doing good and slowly work on what is week. Satan wins when he makes us feel to guilty to read the scriptures or to pray. You should never stop doing good things just because you did one thing wrong. And prompted by the spirit I left a note as we left expressing the love we and her heavenly father has for her. But as we left I had little Confidence that we would see her at church tomorrow. But as the morning came I honestly forgot about the whole thing (cause I woke up sick and had a bad attitude haha) untill I saw her and her sweet 2 daughters walking towards the church that moring. Oh how great was our joy! I felt like God let me feel a little of the Joy he feels when his children repent. And its something I cant discribe. And after church she thinked us for everthing. She even went and talked to the prez and everything was fine. She was So scared to repent for what the consequences would be but as prez explained that we cant choose the consequences of our actions and only God can decided if we are forgiven. Sometimes we are harder on ourselfes then we shold be. We dont repent because of Fear. But this fear is what prolongs are repentence and leads us down a bad path. As It says in Isaiah

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white assnow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be aswool.

We start Repentance with a prayer were re Reason with the lord. And as we do he helps us to continue to do good things as we abandon the bad thing weve done. Im greatfull for this experience and so much more Ive had. But this is one I wanted to share. And I cant even explain the half of it or the difference of Light I saw in her face after she started the repentence process. Repentence is a gift. We should never be scared to leave bad things behind and walk towards a better tomorrow. That is where the Atonement comes in. I invite all to study more of the atonement this week because it will change your life as you put it in practice in your life. Theres 2 parts to the Atonement

To make bad men Good, and to make good men Better. It is for all.

Hope everyone has a good week full with Misionary Experiences! Thanks always for your love and prayers. You have no Idea how much they help a missionary.

Hermana Freeze PURA VIDA!

More pictures from last week!

Well Hello Again!

Well Hello Again! This week was another good week. Honestly it was more fun then work. but you have to learn to enjoy all sides of the mission! We will start with the spiritual! We had a Baptism!! His name is Daladier. If I havent already told you we found him eating at a Comida China... cause my comp was hungry and I wanted Fried rice. We got to know the manager and we now everytime we pass buy we just say hi and see how they are doing! Well we stop buy one day and Daladier is just a worker that was there by him self. We have a basic conversation and then I ask you know we are missionaries and we are here to serve. is there anything we can do for you? And he goes you know what sure. can you come visit me in my house on my days off. We show up and he starts explaining how he wants to be a better Christian and how hes been looking for the true church. and basically it has been a pleasure to watch his conversion. and it all started with a simple question. I cant even tell you the amount of people we find just by asking. I know as Members we are sometimes scared to talk about our testimony of Christ becuase it can offend someone. But I have learned that it doesnt hurt to ask. How many people are searching for truth and light and how to be a better person. and YOU have the Anwser. but we are scared to ask. I was reminded of this story.

Consider that you are invited to a friend’s house for breakfast. On the table you see a large pitcher of freshly squeezed orange juice from which your host fills his glass. But he offers you none. Finally, you ask, “Could I have a glass of orange juice?”
He replies, “Oh, I am sorry. I was afraid you might not like orange juice, and I didn’t want to offend you by offering you something you didn’t desire.”
Now, that sounds absurd, but it is not too different from the way we hesitate to offer up something far sweeter than orange juice. I have often worried how I would answer some friend about my hesitancy when I meet him beyond the veil.
It is so true! We are all guilty of this. But I dont want to meet someone in the next life who tells me. Why didnt you ask me. I was waiting for the truth and you were scared to ask. THat is how we are with what he says , is something far sweeter then orange juice. ITs the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Which helps bind families in unity and faith. It is something so precious and sweet for those who are living it full that we should all have the charity and love for other people to ask. But remember God wont force anyone to go to heaven so we must always respect the agency of the other person but if we truly do love them we should be INVITING them to follow Christ. As Lds members we have so much more knowlege that we have the responsibility to share. So I hope everyone this week can find someone to share there sweet Orange Juice with. Because the blessings of missionary work go far beyond helping people through a trial but we can help people live with there families for eternity with the sealng keys that have been given in this dispensation.
I learned this and SOO much more for Daladier. As I watched him progress basically on his own to the waters of baptisms. All I had to do was ask.
Love you all so much! THanks for the Emails of lOve and support I have recived! I miss you all and now I will be sending more pictures!
Yesterday I got to see Elder Jones and Elder Winders! We came into the misison together and they are like my family! Both working as secrataries right now. THere crazy. So heres us!
