Just an Average Week

Well its been a good week and a hard one. I dont know what it is but we are just always SOOO Busy. Lots of work down here. Oh we had a nice Mircle this week as well. So were riding on a bus when this lady starts taking to another lady behind Hermana Mendoza. She starts going like hey you should come to church with me. And the other one is like no. I am searching for the true church. Ive been and studdied with almost all of them. This one I dont like. and This one is crazy. I dont like how the scream in this one. THis one breaks rules about praying. I like the JWs but theres something that I just cant find. I just want to find the true church. Ive been everywere except the mormons. Maybe ill go there next. And well with a conversation like that my companion HAD to say something. She turns around. gets her number and they get of the bus. THat night we call and put an appt. for the next day. We showed up and had an amazing lession. We taught all of L1 and she understood it like she was born in the Church. She has been searching for the fullness of the gospel for so long that I could just see that she Regconized it as soon as we started te lesson. She came to our English classes with the whole family and we gave more of a tour of the chapel. She loved it and so did her kids. She said she felt good and wanted to come Sunday as well. Bad news is SATAN kept her from coming on Sunday. But no worries because she is so smart and prepared for the Gospel that Im not worried. If she reads meditates and Prays. There will be no way she doesnt get an anwser because she is so ready. I love finding little gift from God like her and her family. Because I know that God used us to anwser her prayers and that She will have the guidences that she is looking for for her children. And I cant wait to testify of the Power of Eternal Famlies. Something that is so important that most people dont understand because they are missing part of the truth that has been restored! What a great blessing to be apart of her search for truth. And this is only the first week. I will keep you posted as we teach her!

Part 2 of this week was to watch the tender mercies of the Lord work on a member who has fallen into one of satans hardest temptations. Im not gonna go into detail much but this week we had a lession with one of my favorite people here in Perez. She is amazing and has helped me so much to adjust here. Her love is just unexplainable. But she has had a tough go as member of the church and has been through lots of hard times. But all my time here we have preped her to go through the temple and I got to see that blessing that she recived. It was amazing. But little by little Satan has been working on her. As he does with all of us as we choose the right. The good path is never the easy path. But it is the path of happiness and blessings. But as We showed up at this dear womens house she was very discouraged. We talked about goals and what we want out of life and where we want to be in 5 10 20 years and what we want in the eternity. She struggled through the lession expressing how confused she is in this moment and how she doesnt know. We waited and talked as the spirit slowly testified to her of these things. We talked about things we have to GIVE UP in order to reach these goals. And then as we finished the lession she broke down and told us all. She told us about all she had been through and done and how she was just gonna take a break from going to church because she doesnt feel worthy to enter the building or do anything. We eplained so much about the atonement and the love God has for us that we cant earn. Its free. God does not love an obedient child more then a rebelous one. He loves us all the same. becuase we cant earn this love for good chooses. it it given to us for who we are. SOns and Daughters of heres. And through a hard long talk I finally told her that We should never stop doing good things because I did one thing bad. THats what satan wants. If I fall here and make a mistake but Im strong in another part of the gospel. God wants us to hold on to what we are doing good and slowly work on what is week. Satan wins when he makes us feel to guilty to read the scriptures or to pray. You should never stop doing good things just because you did one thing wrong. And prompted by the spirit I left a note as we left expressing the love we and her heavenly father has for her. But as we left I had little Confidence that we would see her at church tomorrow. But as the morning came I honestly forgot about the whole thing (cause I woke up sick and had a bad attitude haha) untill I saw her and her sweet 2 daughters walking towards the church that moring. Oh how great was our joy! I felt like God let me feel a little of the Joy he feels when his children repent. And its something I cant discribe. And after church she thinked us for everthing. She even went and talked to the prez and everything was fine. She was So scared to repent for what the consequences would be but as prez explained that we cant choose the consequences of our actions and only God can decided if we are forgiven. Sometimes we are harder on ourselfes then we shold be. We dont repent because of Fear. But this fear is what prolongs are repentence and leads us down a bad path. As It says in Isaiah

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white assnow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be aswool.

We start Repentance with a prayer were re Reason with the lord. And as we do he helps us to continue to do good things as we abandon the bad thing weve done. Im greatfull for this experience and so much more Ive had. But this is one I wanted to share. And I cant even explain the half of it or the difference of Light I saw in her face after she started the repentence process. Repentence is a gift. We should never be scared to leave bad things behind and walk towards a better tomorrow. That is where the Atonement comes in. I invite all to study more of the atonement this week because it will change your life as you put it in practice in your life. Theres 2 parts to the Atonement

To make bad men Good, and to make good men Better. It is for all.

Hope everyone has a good week full with Misionary Experiences! Thanks always for your love and prayers. You have no Idea how much they help a missionary.

Well Hello Again!

Well Hello Again! This week was another good week. Honestly it was more fun then work. but you have to learn to enjoy all sides of the mission! We will start with the spiritual! We had a Baptism!! His name is Daladier. If I havent already told you we found him eating at a Comida China... cause my comp was hungry and I wanted Fried rice. We got to know the manager and we now everytime we pass buy we just say hi and see how they are doing! Well we stop buy one day and Daladier is just a worker that was there by him self. We have a basic conversation and then I ask you know we are missionaries and we are here to serve. is there anything we can do for you? And he goes you know what sure. can you come visit me in my house on my days off. We show up and he starts explaining how he wants to be a better Christian and how hes been looking for the true church. and basically it has been a pleasure to watch his conversion. and it all started with a simple question. I cant even tell you the amount of people we find just by asking. I know as Members we are sometimes scared to talk about our testimony of Christ becuase it can offend someone. But I have learned that it doesnt hurt to ask. How many people are searching for truth and light and how to be a better person. and YOU have the Anwser. but we are scared to ask. I was reminded of this story.

Consider that you are invited to a friend’s house for breakfast. On the table you see a large pitcher of freshly squeezed orange juice from which your host fills his glass. But he offers you none. Finally, you ask, “Could I have a glass of orange juice?”
He replies, “Oh, I am sorry. I was afraid you might not like orange juice, and I didn’t want to offend you by offering you something you didn’t desire.”
Now, that sounds absurd, but it is not too different from the way we hesitate to offer up something far sweeter than orange juice. I have often worried how I would answer some friend about my hesitancy when I meet him beyond the veil.
It is so true! We are all guilty of this. But I dont want to meet someone in the next life who tells me. Why didnt you ask me. I was waiting for the truth and you were scared to ask. THat is how we are with what he says , is something far sweeter then orange juice. ITs the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Which helps bind families in unity and faith. It is something so precious and sweet for those who are living it full that we should all have the charity and love for other people to ask. But remember God wont force anyone to go to heaven so we must always respect the agency of the other person but if we truly do love them we should be INVITING them to follow Christ. As Lds members we have so much more knowlege that we have the responsibility to share. So I hope everyone this week can find someone to share there sweet Orange Juice with. Because the blessings of missionary work go far beyond helping people through a trial but we can help people live with there families for eternity with the sealng keys that have been given in this dispensation.
I learned this and SOO much more for Daladier. As I watched him progress basically on his own to the waters of baptisms. All I had to do was ask.
Love you all so much! THanks for the Emails of lOve and support I have recived! I miss you all and now I will be sending more pictures!
Yesterday I got to see Elder Jones and Elder Winders! We came into the misison together and they are like my family! Both working as secrataries right now. THere crazy. So heres us!

And my Comp made a key lime pie! (thanking of Granny) for is Bday!

Then for those of you who know me I love SILLY String! so you can see what happened there.

then there is a tradition is Costa Rica to smash eggs on peoples heads for their birthdays... yes real eggs. so we did it! haha

So Yesterday we had the funnest Activity but since we live forever away from everyone here in CR we got permission to go up sunday night! But the activity wasnt till 1... so us being  tired of being in exile desided to go to San Jose and enjoy ourself Before the activity! We went to a Theater and then to a market. Saw the tallest buidling in CR... isnt that tall but it was a good time.

This is what missionaries do for fun with free time.

I have more pictures but like no time! Love you all! Have a great week!

Semana de Sacrificio

Well We had a good week. I really learned alot this week about my potential if I really push myself. Also I learned More about the power of prayer and Fasting. These basic principles of the gospel are key to our understanding and Spiritual Growth. If you dont have a testimony of Prayer and Fasting I invite you to start now. Because that should be the base of your faith in christ. Prayer and FAsting is our relationship with our heavenly father.

Anyways In Costa Rica there is two missions. West and east. Im from the best side. The east side for sure. And we have the best mission prez in the world hes super chill and we all work hard and learn to life the higher law the Jesus taught, not the law of moses. The other mission is so strict its scary. That cant play futbol or drink coke and its just lots of stuff like that. Also they had to do a sacrafice week. where they got up at 4 am studied for 3 hours and left the house at 8 to teach from 8am till 9 at night. which to me is INSAINE. well they did this till a seventy said he couldnt cange mission hours like that. crazy. and this week I got to feel a little of what that could be like. Tuesday and Wednesday we left the house at like 7:30 because we had morning appontments. and man were those days suppppppeerrrr long. and on friday we went to help out a member that lives an hour and a half away, clear some land to  start planting. It was CRAZY I havent been so tired in my mission as I Was this week. Seriously Crazy. And same thing with Sunday. Early mornings to come bring people to church! it was a hard week but lots of mircles and joy were felt as we pushed ourselfs alittle harder!

On a different note last monday I got to make the queqitos (cupcakes) my mom sent me! And we had so much fun!! Yes we were a bunch of adults decorating cupcakes. and Yes it was the Best Pday ever. haha Thanks mom!!! LOVE you sooooo much!

Here is are service for the week! WE served from 8 till 5. ALL DAY in the COsta rican Sun which is HOTT!! but it was sooo beautiful. Living in a rain forest is crazy, it seriously rains EVERY DAY. and its so hot and green and just everything grows here. You can throw a seed out a car window and come back in weeks and theres a full plant growing. this country is super furtil! SO basically im a pro mexican at yard work. Learning from the roots.
heres our fun day and that weird fruit. Totally ate it. and I didnt die so theres that.

Well being a missonary for Jesus means we serve ALL the time and we always offer help to people. But Ticos dont except help much. they have a saying were if you wash your plate or like there dishes you cant come back to the house... soemtimes it scares me when I try to be nice and help clean peoples houses. but the one thing we always help with is BIRTHDAY PARTIES!! and I definatly dont mind. I love it all. it always consists of Queque, Arroz con Pollo, y un fresco. And we get to serve and meet lots of people. WHich is always a good change of pace in the misison. So heres the most recent party!

oh another note the cute little lady in pick is Hermana Flor. She is a recent convert for our branch and is amazing. She is really poor and has a hard home life. Her daughter lives in the streets and even did drugs when she was pregnent. So Hna Flor is raising her grandchild who is super disobedient. but its not her fault she doenst have a dad and her mom does drugs all the time and only shoes up to sleep and eat all the families food and yell at smanatha (the grandchild). Hermana Flor also had a life of drugs but wanted to change for sam and for Luis her other grandchild that lives with them, But there is alot of contention always in there house. ANd Hermana Flor has gone through some rough times. Everytime we show up at her house we have to pick up the pieces of spirit and faith cause it just gets destroyed by trial after trial after trail. But she is so faithful. always at church onsunday always reading and praying. Im amazed at her faith. But one day we showed up in the middle of a huge fight. lots of things were going down in her house and Hermana Flor was threatining to leave and run away from the family and here we are in the middle of this fight. and I have no idea what to say. ANd they ask you for help like we can tell them what to do. but I have no idea. Ive never been in half of the situations that she has to go through every day. so here we come like can we sing and read the scriptures with you. so we do and the spirit came in so strong. I was completely amazed at the peace and confort that entered the house just after the prayer. I can just seen and hear and feel the love that our heavenly father has for Each of his children. And even more I have witnessed how the scriptures and family prayer can solve any argument. The power of these holy words are incredible. I cant even explain the things I have witnessed. But I can tell you that if you arent reading and praying as a family you are missing out on blessings that every family needs. THer scriptures have power. ANd the spirit that comes from reading them is really and strong enough to heal. THrough the atonment of Jesus Crist we know that All can be forgiven and healed. Every Unfair thing in this world will bemade well again. And he will make up for every hurtful thing we have felt in this life. I know and I testify that he lives. I hope you can all have a great week remembering him and all he has done.

side note
finally in my whole mission I met a man that doesnt belive in God. And what a sad life he had. please never doubt your faith in your loving heavely father. He waits for you always. he knows you. he loves you. he hears and anwsers every prayer. Sometimes the anwser comes later becuase its all in Gods timing. But the anwser always comes. Even if its no. haha

Hope everyone has a great week!

PURA VIDA!
